Join Moretti's & The Basket Brigade, in feeding local families in need this Thanksgiving! 

Rob Swiderski will be running an 80 mile lap past 8 Moretti's locations, raising awareness and funds for families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. 

The Event kicks off at 7:15 PM on Friday, August 29 at Moretti's in Barrington, looping through Moretti's locations in Lake in the Hills, Elgin, Bartlett, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Mt. Prospect, and Wheeling, before finishing back in Barrington at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 30.

The public is invited to join Rob for the first half mile at each stop—or run alongside him for any of the eight legs.

Rob Swiderski is a Christian life and leadership coach, ultra-endurance athlete, and the Community Outreach Director for the Basket Brigade of Suburban Chicago. In 2009, Rob was the recipient of a holiday food delivery during a season of personal hardship. That experience changed the course of his life. Today, he runs to give back—fueling his God-given purpose to serve others with endurance, compassion, and hope. "Moretti's Miles for Meals" marks Rob's 5th charity run for the Basket Brigade and his 7th year with the organization. His goal is to raise $25,000 to help the Basket Brigade feed 2,025 families this Thanksgiving. Rob once completed 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days for the cause and has been honored with NBC's "Making a Difference" award and nominated for the American Red Cross Hero's Award.

This August 29th and 30th, ultra-endurance athlete and leadership coach Rob Swiderski will run 80 miles continuously, visiting eight Moretti's Restaurants—all in under 24 hours—to help feed local families in need this Thanksgiving.

The mission: Raise $25,000 to help the Basket Brigade of Suburban Chicago deliver 2,025 complete Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need. Sponsorships are available by the mile, or any sum. 100% of donations will fund holiday dinners, delivered the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Founded in memory of Lorraine M. Walsh and inspired by Tony Robbins, the Basket Brigade of Suburban Chicago is a 100% volunteer not for profit organization. Since 2015, Basket Brigade has united local communities to deliver complete Thanksgiving dinners to families in need. Each basket contains enough food to feed a family of five and is delivered with a personal touch—right to their door.
